EDUCATION: Fr. Desinord Jean was the catalyst behind the origination of HBHH when he brought the scholarship needs of several Port-au-Prince children to the attention of friends in Tampa. From the days of his youth, walking several miles each morning to school, Fr. Jean has seen education as the only reliable route to self reliance. His emphasis on education has remained a core value of HBHH throughout its growth. (see Education)
COMMUNITY BUILDING:Water is the source of life. Imagine living without running water or without clean safe water. This is reality for most of Haiti. Drilling wells and seeking clean water sources if part of HBHH's efforts. Agriculture is a huge effort that can create jobs and food for those that are without daily food. HBHH has started programs to help in these efforts. (see Community Building)
MEDICAL ASSISTANCE: Healthcare is a huge problem in Haiti. Doctors and clinics are only available in large cities and in very few villages. HBHH is working in the North East area of Haiti by supplying medicine, medical equipment, and healthcare. (see Medical)
MISSION TRIPS: HBHH brings mission groups to Haiti. Teen, young adult and medical teams go to Haiti to help in efforts of education, community building and medical care. (see Mission Trips)
