Volunteer Testimonials

  • Paul Haber
    Deacon, Christ the King Church
"This country and its needs are beyond description. Two guarantees with any donation given are that 95% goes to the assistance of our brothers and sisters in Haiti and that this support changes lives."
  • Dr. Robert Perez
    Dentist
"Our (dental) team saw hundreds of patients with a variety of ailments not normally seen here at home. We did more dental surgery in one week than I would do in a year. And when I left, my basket was overflowing knowing that I helped my fellow man."
  • Rachel Halfaker
    Teens For Haiti
"I know no matter how much I contribute, it will bring some joy to at least one person. The people of St. Suzanne don't have the resources to lift themselves up, but I hope to be able to help them using the resources I have been blessed to have."

Our Dreams

While Help Brings Hope for Haiti is proud of past accomplishments, the real excitment can be found in our dreams. Perhaps it is because so many of the things we have seen happen were beyond our dreams of just a few years ago. But, even when it comes to dreams, we are committed to staying focused on our our core goals.

Self Sufficiency

We want to fund projects that will create self sustaining jobs, implement agriculture, animal, and tree farms so that basic nutrition can be met through local efforts.

Education

We are determined to bring Haitian students into the 21st century by supplying classrooms with both computers and renewable energy sources so that students can be introduced to technology. More schools need to be built and more young people need to scholarships for teacher training programs. Existing classrooms and school facilities can be refurbished through resources, local help and future teen missions.

Medical

More qualified people need to be sponsored for doctor and nursing training, and existing village medical clinics should be upgraded with lab technicians and equipment so that medical tests can be conducted.

Community

Community centers need to build for the youth and adult educational needs. Solar and generator power sources would power pumps, internet connections and computers for training and communications. Trucks are needed to transport the sick and provide supplies to remote villages.
